JBW was retained to provide engineering and design services for the reactor feed diversion at a carbon pellet mill. This purpose of the project was to provide better material size control to the reactor by providing different storage options.
The new system consisted of a new live bottom bin, a pneumatic conveying system with cyclone separation, new mechanical conveyors, and nuclear scales to accurately report the amount of material being transported.
Our team worked extensively with point clouds to develop a scheme that worked with the surrounding equipment. Our scope included the mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering aspects of the project. The deliverables included multidisciplined construction drawings and equipment specifications.
