Facility Scan & Model

One of our clients needed to replace the main ore bin at their mining facility. In order to define a clear scope of work and decide on a construction sequency and strategy, the client needed detailed facility drawings. They wanted to have the entire Mill and Dryer Area modeled to show the major pieces of equipment, as well as a higher level of detail that included piping, chute work, structure, and cable tray or conduit. There were no existing facility drawings that the client knew of, so they hired JBW to come on-site to scan the facility, using a point cloud scan, in the area where the bin replacement would be taking place. Not only will JBW be able to provide detailed facility drawings from these scans, but also a 3D model that will give the client even more insight into the best way to approach and carry out the project.
