JBW was retained by a previous Ethanol facility client to assist in evaluating two of their dust collection systems, to verify that the operation is performing as required under NFPA. JBW performed an on-site airflow test on each of the systems and determined one of the systems was running on the lower end of pickup velocity and the other one was running optimally. This was captured in the technical memo, as well as the flow diagrams of each baghouse system showing the duct sizes, pickup points, and a schedule of airflows. JBW recommended performing a balancing of the system to achieve the recommended velocity in each of the pick-ups.
