Our work consists of mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering, design, and analysis for industrial, energy, and infrastructure systems. Most of JBW’s projects involve Piping and Pumping Systems, Material Handling Systems, Industrial Ventilation/Dust collection systems, and Machine Design. We also regularly provide creative Industrial BIM solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities
Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations
- Adhere to the core values of Relationships, Communication, Solutions, Technical Proficiency, Quality, and Responsiveness as defined by JBW.
- Must have an entrepreneurial attitude and be willing to tackle different tasks as they arise.
- Provide Mechanical Engineering duties related to industrial facilities. These duties vary by project and current workload.
- Must be willing to work in daily collaboration with other JBW team members and a variety of industrial clients.
- Safely perform site visits that range from 1 to 5 days, sometimes requiring travel (all expenses included). Travel is expected to be less than 10% annually but can vary in the short term based on project needs.
- Perform field verifications and identify and organize gathered field information.
- Work in CAD software including but not limited to Revit, AutoCAD 3D, Plant 3D, and Inventor.
- Complete drawings, calculations, equipment selection, and analysis accurately while following JBW’s quality control methods.
- Build new and maintain existing relationships with clients, vendors, and external resources.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or related field of study.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit, or other Analysis software
Desired Background and Skills
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu software.
- Working understanding of mechanical systems and industrial environments.
- Basic knowledge of industrial disciplines and heavy industrial construction.
Technical Proficiency
- Experience working in industrial settings such as refineries, mines, power plants, etc.
- Experience with designing material handling systems.
- Experience developing drawing packages and specifications for contractors to build from.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes.
- Ability to perform engineering analysis.
Communication Skills
- Excellent leadership, writing, and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and proposals to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple small projects
- Ability to manage clients.
