Substation Project

Project Summary

JBW Consulting Engineers was commissioned to provide engineering services for the expansion of the a substation. This project involved the critical addition of a new 69kV terminal designed to enhance the capacity and reliability of the existing infrastructure.

The scope of JBW’s services encompassed the detailed design of foundational and structural steel elements essential for the integration of the new terminal. Specifically, JBW developed robust engineering solutions for a Line Terminal A-frame, which is crucial for supporting the terminal lines. The project also included designing PT supports that will hold potential transformers necessary for voltage measurements and system monitoring. Additionally, JBW was tasked with creating a secure foundation and support structure for a new circuit breaker that will play a key role in managing the flow and control of electricity through the substation.

This strategic expansion of the substation is pivotal for the client's ongoing efforts to improve and modernize the electrical service infrastructure in the area. By enhancing the substation with a new 69kV terminal, they aimed to boost system resilience and reliability, ensuring stable and continuous power delivery to meet the growing demands of the area. JBW is committed to delivering engineering solutions that are not only effective but also sustainable, paving the way for a more robust power infrastructure.
