Project Summary

JBW played a pivotal role in the successful design and construction of two engineered wood siding mill facility expansion projects; one in Maine, and one in Michigan. Both projects had overall values greater than $180MM. Leveraging expertise in engineering design, project management, and commissioning support, JBW helped transform the existing mill’s production capability with enhanced capacity, efficiency, and sustainability.

JBW provided the process, mechanical, and structural engineering design required for the client’s highly specialized manufacturing process. This included selecting and designing high-capacity and high-efficiency dust collection systems, state-of-the-art material storage and distribution systems, and process pumping and piping systems throughout the plant.

JBW also provided comprehensive on-site testing and construction administration services at various project stages. This ensured that the newly integrated equipment and systems were installed and operated at peak performance, per the design and the client’s expectations.
