Debarker Replacement
Project Summary
JBW Consulting Engineers completed a Debarker Replacement project for a client. The project involved replacing the existing Nicholson A5 debarker at the LP at a wood products client facility with a new Nicholson A8 model, which is slightly wider. This replacement required modifications and evaluations of the hydraulic system, compressed air system, chute, platform, and support structure.
The scope of services included a site visit, mechanical engineering and design, structural engineering and design, and electrical engineering and design.
