Welding Aspiration
Project Summary
JBW Consulting Engineers provided comprehensive engineering services for the Welding Line Aspiration project at a client's facility. The project involved relocating the welding line from the West shop to Bay 1 in the East shop, which required a detailed analysis of make-up air and air balance due to the installation of a new dust collection system and the presence of equipment such as a heat treat oven.
JBW's scope included developing construction drawings and specifications for the ventilation and aspiration systems, with a focus on reusing existing Donaldson-Torit units and some existing fans. The project followed a structured design process involving stakeholder meetings, preliminary and final drawing reviews, and construction oversight, ensuring that the new welding line in Bay 1 met the required safety and efficiency standards.
