Project Summary
JBW Consulting Engineers provided professional services for the Facility Upgrades project, focusing on the "Life Safety" remediation items identified in a previous Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) completed by JBW in January 2023. The project aimed to address specific safety concerns at the facility by implementing necessary modifications and upgrades. The scope of work included engineering and design for various components such as backdraft dampers, abort gates, airlocks, and fire suppression systems for Baghouse A and B and the Kiln Site.
Additionally, JBW conducted site visits to verify existing conditions and provided mechanical and structural drawings for the planned upgrades. The project deliverables equipped the client with the necessary information to obtain quotes from contractors and move forward with the field execution of the work, ensuring that all life safety concerns were addressed effectively.
