Vessel Inspection & Explosion Vent Spec
Project Summary
When our safety concious Ethanol client wanted to comply with explosion venting, it initially looked like a total bagoues replacement. The vendor was not able to recalculate the panel requirements based on the latest NFPA 68 standard after a baghouse in relatively good condition was repurposed.
JBW proposed a more cost effective option. We provided non-destructive testing services to evaluate the condition of the vessel in hopes of verifying the original Pred of the vessel was adequate. Although several minor remediations were recommended, our client was able to confidently replace and relocate existing panels on the baghouse and save the cost of a new baghouse.
