Our work consists of mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering, design, and analysis for industrial, energy, and infrastructure systems. Most of JBW’s projects involve Piping and Pumping Systems, Material Handling Systems, Industrial Ventilation/Dust collection systems, and Machine Design. We also provide creative Industrial BIM solutions for our clients on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations
● Adhere to the core values of Relationships, Communication, Solutions, Technical Proficiency, Quality, and Responsiveness as defined by JBW.
● Must have an entrepreneurial attitude and be willing to tackle different tasks as they arise.
● Assist in creating 2D electrical schematics and 3D models using AutoCAD Electrical and Revit.
● Develop panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and equipment placement drawings under the guidance of senior designers.
● Support cable tray and conduit routing designs for industrial facilities.
● Prepare and update bill of materials (BOMs) and electrical design documentation.
● Ensure designs comply with industry codes such as NFPA 70 (NEC) and UL 508A.
● Participate in design reviews and help resolve technical issues.
● Assist in assembling construction packages and installation drawings.
● Support fieldwork, including reviewing contractor submittals and updating as-built drawings.
● Collaborate with engineers and project teams to improve design accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
● Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field.
● Coursework or experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Revit is preferred.
● Interest in industrial electrical design, including power distribution and control panels.


Desired Background and Skills

Technical Proficiency:
● Basic understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and industrial power systems.
● Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and Revit for drafting and modeling.
● Strong attention to detail and ability to follow engineering standards.
● Willingness to learn and apply industry codes and best practices.

Communication Skills:
● Excellent leadership, writing, and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
